Quarterback Elliot Paskett-Bell tossed three touchdown passes and ran for a score as the Hawks celebrated homecoming with a 52-29 win over Eldorado Friday at Community Stadium. Volcano Vista (5-1) has a big game at Cleveland this week.
Soccer
The girls team improved to 8-4 with a 4-0 win over Rio Rancho Friday. Jaden Bussy scored two goals for VVHS.
The boys (8-1-2) also beat Rio Rancho as Keegan Monnheimer scored both goals in a 2-1 triumph. Both teams are 1-0 in District 1-5A.
Volleyball
The Hawks beat Valley 3-2 Saturday to improve their record to 7-4. The set scores were 25-10, 26-24, 18-25, 21-25, 15-11. VVHS has a tough test Tuesday as undefeated La Cueva visits.
