New Mexico United is hosting Educators Night Wednesday at Isotopes Park.

Albuquerque Public Schools employees can get discounted tickets for the match, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated by the club to the APS Education Foundation to provide classroom and school grants.

United, a professional soccer team founded in 2018, plays in the USL Championship, which is the second-tier soccer league in America. The team host Rio Grande Valley FC at 7 p.m. Wednesday at with doors opening at 6 p.m.

“New Mexico United has already proven to be a great APS partner. Their players visit our schools and teams, sharing their stories with our students and inspiring young people to dare to dream and strive for their goals,” Shannon Barnhill, executive director of the APS Education Foundation, said in a release. “We look forward to Educators Night, which provides discounted tickets to our hardworking employees while supporting the work of the Foundation. Somos Unidos!”
