Memorial Day is a big weekend for enjoying a drink or two in Albuquerque, and this year there are two big events scheduled.

The New Mexico Wine Festival runs Saturday through Monday at Balloon Fiesta Park, while ABQ Blues and Brews is set for Sunday at Sandia Resort & Casino.

Both events are 21-plus and will feature tastings and live music.

The Wine Festival is from noon to 6 p.m. daily. Blues and Brews runs from 2-6 p.m.

Blues and Brews, part of Albuquerque’s beer week, is one of the largest celebrations of beer in New Mexico. It will feature unlimited samples from more than 60 breweries and performances from several local blues musicians. Tickets are $35 if purchased by Saturday or $40 on Sunday and can be purchased here. Tickets can also be purchased at any Tractor Brewing Company location, including the one on McMahon.

There will be samples from 17 vendors at the Wine Festival and multiple musical performances each day.

Saturday’s lineup has Partizani Brass Band on stage at noon and 2:45 p.m., Silver String Band performing at 12:45 p.m. and Reviva at 3:30 p.m. Baracutanga plays at noon followed by Nosotros at 3 p.m. on Sunday. Dirty Brown Jug Band opens on Monday at noon and Kyle Martin Band caps off the weekend at 3 p.m.

Tickets for the Wine Festival are $35 and can be purchased here.
