Desert Ridge MS teacher wins Golden Apple award
Desert Ridge eighth-grade language arts teacher Annie Syed was surprised to learn she won the 2021 Golden Apple Excellence in Teaching Award while in front of her class.
Madison MS band performs at the park
The Madison Bands Rock! Concert in the Park program returned after a two-year pause due to COVID-19 restrictions. Madison band students performed May 19 at Loma Del Rey Park across from the school to a crowd of family, teachers, staff and others gathered on the grass.

Madison volleyball splits with Desert Ridge MS
Madison Middle School hosted its first volleyball games of the season against Desert Ridge on Wednesday, Sept. 7, ending the night with one win and one loss. Madison would go on to claim the APS Group 3 championship title.

After weeks of rehearsals, kids at Sombra Del Monte Elementary School were finally able to show off their acting and singing skills to parents. The show began with students walking in front of parents as a makeshift Polar Express train before singing “Must Be Santa.” They later performed “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer” and “Feliz Navidad”.
